A well known Pakistani comedian 55-year old Liaqat Ali died while performing on stage in a special TV program on a local TV channel during the India-Pak semi WC final match. Liaqat Ali must have expected Shahid Afridi and Mishbah ul-Huq to hit a couple of sixers and snatch the match away from India. However, the failure of Boom-boom Afridi must have been too much for him to swallow.
Liaqat Ali had began his illustrious career in 1973 in plays and later moved on to the TV.
Some say that the game of cricket is not for the weak hearted and there have been several instances in the past when people have died while watching these matches – the excitement was too much for their hearts, especially when the game goes down to the last ball.
